what an interesting idea for a topic - it's great to do some people watching in art galleries, sometimes people have very confused looks on their faces trying to work out just exactly what on earth the artist is trying to say

here's my contribution - my daughter watching a movie about seals in Antarctica during a school trip to the museum

@giz & AlexN
Thanks for your special pics. I like very much the attitude of the children in the exhibitions. Perhaps they are more truthful in time of enjoying it.

Thanks for the topic and wonderful responses. This pic , a little off topic, although the day itself was quite a performance,believe me! Televised live all round the nation. There were more cameras in one place than I have ever seen before. What I like about this one is how photographers become subjects, as do audience members; many of whom were also taking shots. The interplay of participant, documenter, subject seems to go so many ways.

I took this photo in Amsterdam: the pictures are all from the same soldier at different ages.

This is image is as shot and could do with some editing. I hope it fits into this theme. The day in Canberra was quite a performance. i Have never seen so many cameras at any one event! Nearly everyone wanting to document such a day. A National Apology! Means so much to so many.
i like the interplay of audience being photographed as they watch live feed to Australian Parliament, picturing Prime Minister as he delivers an apology on behalf of the nation. We are directly outside Parliament House.

Took long enough!

Sorry! I see I have posted twice. i forgot I put the first post in! At least my ideas are consistent!

Also, the images that include children as audience, in this thread, fantastic! They show you how children are so ready to engage and learn and wonder!

This is a painting by Antoni Tapies, a Spanish Catalan painter. He is considered a great master artist of the 20th century.

A well deserved rest, looking at paintings can be exhausting.
