yes, i like your toying. to divide this one in a b&w and a colour part is a nice idea. this one is much better than the photo i've taken.
johnny, i've made another version of your photo too. it's far from green. it's far from your original too.
coming next

I used gimp on your picture geert i duplicated it 3 times then a setting called curves i altered in all 3 copies then merged together , then desaturated half the image and added a blended layer so it focused on the rider. hope makes a little sense

First of all I like this topic Jonny !!!
It had been discussed before to edit somebody else his/her pictures to learn from each other. I wish Joris add this function to Woophy 2 but this didn't happen. I hope someday this function will be added to woophy.
My problem to edit pictures from somebody else is where do I store this picture. I don't want to add somebody else his/her picture to my portfolio. So the only possbility is to add the picture to a other website.

Geert, I edit your picture. I was surprised what I discovered in the picture by editing it.
It was a big challenge because of the size of the picture. While it is so small there are less details left to edit.
I hope you like the result:

@Jonny. You invited me to edit your picture, it was very hard to make something interesting from it but I don't know about the result. Judge yourself.

Jonny, first I did:

- make 5 pictures with different exposure times, -2, -1, 0, +1, +2
- I put those into Photomatix to make out a HDR of a single jpg.
- the result of photomatix I finish in Photoshop, edit some extra contrast, decreased the green color.
- I used a special focus filter to make the focus on the rocks and the sign.
- finally I used unsharp mask on the places I wanted to be sharper.
- I edit a frame

Regards,

Oscar

Oscar, How do you get a picture in the forum without using your own portfolio?

Jonny, I like the idea a lot, I even worked on your picture, but I have the same problem as Oscar considering my portfolio.

Pity there isn't a facility on here for modifications its such a great learning tool as ive learnt alot since Aug 07 when i first picked up a digital camera.

Think the forums not ready for this topic though Oscar as there has been plenty of views yet so little feedback.
