Im thinking of upgrading from my ixus 50 and Im looking for something that doesnt need do be substituted in a year or so. a canon 40d seems like the perfect tool for some years ahead. If anyone got a better idea, tell me! :) The idea was to find a german site or something. better prices than in sweden and its not so expensive to ship it over. All european camera-sites were I can find cheap cameras are welcome! the us is really cheap but the shipping is risky and there is no warranty. Anyone knows wich brands that got world wide warranty or eu-warranty or something. Its good to know if the camera is broke and i need to repair it :) sorry for the bad english. havnt written in english since 2 years ago so im kinda rusty!
jonny greentree Member	# Posted: 20 Dec 07 16:38 Reply Have you tried eBay as people always upgrade and sell there last one for a very good price and 9 out of 10 they are just like brand new due to people who have that type of camera take care of them. I'm after a new DSLR at the moment but going to wait for January sales.

I guess ebay is the only way out. only hard thing is to understand ebay.de :) I've just looked up the global warranty, and there arent any on dslr-cameras from canon. But it turns out there is an eu-warranty at least. But now I've just found something really nice. My mother had a pentax 10-15 years ago, and i asked her if she still got it. and she does! it doesnt stop there. she also got 3 objectives(lenses?). and one of those is a tele-ojbective from sigma. rather nice. And i've looked up pentax and found out that they got back-compability all the way back so the objectives/lenses are compatible with a new pentax! =) is there anything different with old lenses and new ones?
