Thanks atinfante. I figured it out right after I sent the message to Conrad. It would be good to post the actual directions in the contest rules for those who have never posted or forget how. If I have it figured out right , it takes 7 steps:
1. In the Woophy Home Site, click on My Pictures.
2. Click on My Collection and store your photo in your account.
3. In My Collection, click on the photo you wish to enter in a contest.
4. Copy the Whoophy “Id number.”
5. Click on “forum” for the monthly contest you wish to enter the photo in.
6. Click on the box to insert the image.
7. Enter/paste the Woophy ID number in the designated box.

Hi,
I accidentely have put 2 pictures twice for the 'holiday pictures'-theme.
The first attempt was wrong, since I have not made clear this was for the competition. Therefore, I got a message from Conrad that these pictures would be locked. That's fine, but should these pictures be deleted?
The second attempt is correct, I think. I named the topic the current theme of the photocontest.
Now, I got replies that I have posted these pictures twice. I've tried to delete the locked pictures, but how oh how?
Kind regards to ye' all.

Dear ConradM,
I submitted today my photos twice by mistake. One of the submittals was blocked (I know why). I hope that my photos will be consolidated and considered as one submittal.

Elie

Hi aschraepen !
You posted your picture in the wrong place but I see you also posted them in the correct place then. I will explain in my words, a complete explanation about posting them and I know my colleague Conrad did.
1)
Look in the main forum (2006 Photo competition 'Daily Life on Earth'), If the topic of the day already exist.
2)
If the topic already exist:
Go inside the topic of the day and then post your picture / pictures as any normal message.
Posting how to
3)
If the topic does not exist:
Go down the main forum (2006 Photo competition 'Daily Life on Earth') and create a new topic. Creating a topic is the same than replying a topic.
Posting how to
4) Check that you has posted correctly and If you did not, you can read in the link above, how to edit a topic.
Best regards,
Marcos Rowinski.

Hello Conrad,
Thanks for your answer, but it is still not clear what to do.
I have several Photos posted on the Woophy map.
What do I DO NEXT to join a contest?
Where can I find the Contest Guidelines? Apperantly they do exist, but WHERE?
In what Forum do I need to post photos, and how and when and on what topic?

Bruno,
the contest guidelines are at the top of this topic!!
To take part in the contest just put them into a message into the topic of that day. For today you can find the contest topic Here

Jack,
just use your local time!!
Posts in other topic will also take part, it is only to keep it clear for everybody to see what is going on. 20 difrent topiocs a day won't work.
Please use a clear topic name and the already existing topics as much as posible.

Hello
The topic of november 2006 is WORK, so what is the discussion about "every day a new topic and the first on that day defines the topic"??
Can I also post on a previous month?
When does a topic closes?
When and how are the winners of a given topic announced?
Regards Bruno

Hi John
Thanks for your answer, but you did not answer my questions.
My question is basically: HOW IS THIS CONTEST STUFF ORGASNIZED?
Per month a topic, or per day?
When and how are winners announced?
What do they mean that the first one on a given day defines the topic since the topic is already defined per month (WORK in November 2006)
Are there some complete guidelines available in a simple text file??

Hi John,
My questions are in your number 5
Which contests are open on a given day and what are the topics.
What is the difference between 'days'?
Is there every month a topic or what?
Can I also post in previous months?
When are winners to be announced? every day/month/ year?
Thanks in advance,
Bruno

If you click on contest at the top of the tool bar on this page, it will take you to the monthly contests. Note the menu on the right and you will see that the only contests open are November - topic is Work and December - topic is family. The other monthly contests are over and you can click on them to see the results. The results of a given monthly contest come out a couple of weeks after the end of the month. When you post your photo you have to tell them you are posting it for the given month and topic.
Hope this helps. I agree with you that it is very confusing and have suggested several ways to make it easier to understand the rules etc.
