Hi Dev and de stilte what an amazing colours does the sky have, a pitty I haven't seen it at Texel.
Is that realy called a sundog, I didn't know that name, but maybe it has an other name in Dutch.

@Dev, a great pic of an indeed rarely seen fenomena,
The other sky pic's a very nice too, here's one from me, that I took thursday, after a heavy shower, that got me soaked walking my dog, while changing into dry clothes I saw this sky through my bedroom window and couldn't believe my eyes

My husband advises skylovers to look at spaceweather.com for great pic's of northern light and other skyfenomena,
