Jury

An international jury of well-known photography professionals will select the winning pictures after the web visitors have selected a shortlist of winners with the online picture-rating system.

Winning pictures will be part of an exhibition and publication and the following prizes can be won:

Rules

General

• Please read the rules before entering this photography contest.
• The Woophy competition is open to anyone from anywhere in the world except for those directly involved in the organization and jury.
• In order to participate you must use a valid email address
• The competition closes on the 1st December 2005
• Any picture uploaded onto the Woophy website before December 1, 2005, and meets the practical demands stated below automatically takes part in the competition
• There is no limit to the amount of pictures you can upload/enter
• The shortlist for the jury will be assembled from the highest rated pictures on the site and the pre-selection by the Woophy staff
• Any picture uploaded onto Woophy featuring offensive, explicit or illegal content will be removed and will not be admitted as part of the contest
• Woophy acts as a free platform; therefore it cannot accept any responsibility over content uploaded by its users
• Woophy can change its terms of use and the competition rules at all times

• Pictures must measure at least 800 pixels on the longest side
• The Woophy contest is a photo contest, not a Photoshop contest. Please try to refrain from to much editing/tweaking
• Any photographic format or technique can be entered (Color, B&W, Duotone, Sepia, panorama's etc.)

• You warrant to Woophy that you have created and own the work you submit and that nothing within your work has been copied or added from another person's work
• You warrant that the whole copyright and any other form of intellectual property right in the work is vested in you
• You consent that Woophy may exhibit your images on its website and in any exhibitions or publications that might follow

Can anyone enter?
Yes.

How do I enter?
Upload any picture you want onto the Woophy website.

Will I keep the copyrights to my images?
Of course, but we will show them on the Woophy website.

Can I upload anything?
As long as it's a picture that meets Woophy's standard rules.

What happens if I win?
You get a prize (obviously), your picture will be published on Woophy as one of the winners and you're picture, including the comments of the jury, will be part of a book.

Can I enter slides or negatives?
No, only digital images can enter in the competition.

What does Woophy get out of this?
Hopefully, a lot of beautiful images of our world and active, enthusiastic new members for the site.

Does it matter where I live?
No, anywhere is fine with us.

Will those prizes be sent to me?
Yes, so it's important to enter a working email address in case we need your address to send you your prize.

Will my email address be passed on to third parties?
No, it will only be used by the Woophy staff to get in touch with you in case your picture is selected by the jury as a winner.

Is this contest free?
Yes.
